Alphonse Nguyen bio

After discovering his remarkable connection to music from watching Amadeus at six years old, to composing his first piece of music immediately afterwards ─ Alphonse Nguyen (pronounced al-faanz nwin, he/him) has always embraced the opportunity to express himself through the art of sound. As a sensitive musician who obtained his ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, the only thing that has ever held him back from the spotlight is himself. Now he has vowed to leave his fears behind and become the artist he’s always been destined to be.

A humble Vietnamese-Canadian classical crossover composer who plays the piano with sincerity in every note, this Toronto-based, self-taught composer makes meaningful music that is assured to move you. Whether it’s his natural charm, or his endearing melodies, Alphonse puts true passion into everything he writes.

With the release of two albums under his belt ─ Coffee O’Clock and Stories My Parents Taught Me ─ and a third one on the way, Alphonse is excited to continue the next amazing chapter of his story as an artist. Ready to release a refreshing wave of beautifully timeless music that is inherently relaxing, serene, and enchanting ─ please join Alphonse in celebration as he confidently steps into the spotlight to share his heartfelt music with each and every one of you.
